POTTING MIXES
We are the major stockist of Envirogreen Potting Mixes. This means we have the very best mix to suit your situation. Potting mix is a very misunderstood section of gardening. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" applies in this area. All Potting Mix has a use buy date, it will break down & eventually becomes unusable. This means you have to replenish your potting mix to gain any benefit. We stock 3 different ranges to take care of the specific areas required.
Shrub N Tub
Shrub N Tub, our premium mix, is for big pots & planters where you need a mix to last 5 to 7 years.
Pot N Peat
Pot N Peat, our quality mix, lasts about 3 to 5 years and is great for general planting.
Budget
Budget is what it says, a budget mix that only lasts about 6 months, good if you are replanting and need to hold something over - but not much else.
Fertilisers
Lee Rowan's stock a huge range of fertilisers for the lawn & garden. For a general tip we use a lot of Blood & Bone, Cow Manure & Liquid Harvest for the garden. In saying that, every garden is different so please refer to a staff member to verify what is the best product for your particular garden.
Cow Manure
Cow Manure has been a staple fertiliser used for many years by most gardeners. Even though new products have come on to the market its' popularity hasn't decreased.
Sir Walter Fertiliser
For the lawn we recommend Scotts Lawn Builder & Buffalo Blend, or of course "Sir Walter" Fertiliser but always check with us first.
Garden Doctor
For all your insecticides & fungicides we always say "Come & see us." Like all doctors we need to look & see, before we diagnose. Call in to any of our 3 Garden Centres to discuss with our experienced staff.
