Prepare your lawn for spring.

Spring is here and time to take care of your lawn and make sure it will thrive this season. Here are some easy tips.

1. Kill any weeds.

Choose a warm, dry day, with a few dry days afterwards. Spray in the morning around 10 AM. Spray the whole lawn. We recommend Searles Buffalo Master.
After about 10 days, spot spray any weeds still alive.
Make sure to do it 7 days before or after you mown the lawn, not at the same time. The herbicide sits on the leaves.

2. Mow the lawn.

Mow the lawn on a high setting, make sure not to scalp it.
Don't mow the lawn directly after spraying for weeds. The herbicide sits on the leaves.

3. Fertilise your lawn with topdressing (organic).

To fertilise and rejuvenate your lawn, top dress with a 15 mm thick layer.
You use the top dress as well to level and fill in any gaps from weeds. The grass will knit back across any gaps.
We recommend Rocket Top Dressing - Lee Rowan's Specialty Mix, that promote strong quick growth.

4. Water.

Water your lawn and increase amount of watering depending on weather and warmth.
